How to Send Money to Prisoners With JPay
Having an incarcerated loved one is a source of great stress for many families. Visiting isn't easy and sending money was even more complicated, until recently. In 2002, a small Miami-based company called JPay launched an ecommerce network with federal and state prisons. The system enables family members to send money to the individual trust account of the prisoner or to purchase prepaid calling cards. Today, JPay is available to over 1 million inmates in 22 states and 60 correctional facilities. For the first time, families have a reliable, easy and effective way to support their incarcerated loved ones.

Tips & Warnings
Always wait for the email confirmation of delivered funds before sending more money. This is your proof that the funds were sent and that the inmate was able to gain access to them.
If you suspect that your money transfers are being used for illegal purposes, contact the authorities immediately.
